The Early/Middle College Partnership between Southgate Community School District (SCSD) and Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) was created to give students an opportunity to pursue an associate degree while still in high school.  Students will take a blend of high school and college courses for five years, completing the degree in year 5 (Grade 13).

In the tenth grade year, students will take classes through the SCSD and participate in courses taught by WCCCD staff on SCSD property.  During the 11th and 12th grade years, students will take classes both at the high school and on campus. During the 13th year, most courses will be taken on WCCCD campus. The college tuition will be paid by the SCSD, providing a substantial saving for parents and students.
