November 30, 2019 - Elks National Foundation "Most Valuable Student" scholarship for 500 total scholarships. Awards based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership skills, and financial need. Applications must be downloaded by visiting www.enf.elks.org/mvs
December 1, 2019 - Leaders and Achievers $1,000 scholarship for students with a 2.8 or higher. Demonstrated Leadership ability and Community Service through Comcast NBCUniversal.
December 14, 2019 or first 10,000 applicants - AXA Achievement Scholarship. 52 scholarships of $10,000 given out nationwide to seniors who are active in the community, led a project that benefitted others, and/or overcame personal hardship. January 15, 2018 (and beyond) - The Western Michigan University College of Education and Human Development offers two scholarship opportunities directly related to increasing the number of teachers from underrepresented populations. We offer five full tuition scholarships for eight semesters with our Funding the Advancement of Minorities in Education (FAME) and for 2018-19 will offer three $5,000 for five years scholarships for the WMU Future Educator Program from the Pickard Family Fund. Interested applicants can complete the CEHD scholarship application for consideration for these and other CEHD scholarships. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2018.

February 8, 2019 - Zeal Credit Union - Each year, Zeal Credit Union awards seven scholarships to high school seniors. A total of $14,000 is awarded. High school seniors, who are members of Zeal Credit Union, may apply for scholarships for college or technical school.

March 1, 2019 - The Detroit Section of the Society of Women Engineers annually recognizes high school women who have shown exemplary abilities in areas such as leadership, academics, and community activities. Please find the application for our college scholarships attached. SWE, at a national level, also has many scholarships for outstanding high school female students. March 1, 2019 - NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter supports two $2500 student athlete scholarships for one male and one female high school athlete who attend a high school within Wayne County. April 1, 2019 - Corky Hancock Memorial Scholarship. An annual scholarship given to DCTC students who wish to further their education in CTE programs such as skilled trades, welding, drafting, CAD, and construction. April 5, 2019 - The Ohio-Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools 2018 LEADS! Scholarship. In cooperation with 23 schools over 100 scholarships are being offered. Students need a "C" average or better to apply and may apply for up to 3 different awards. See Mrs. O'Connor for application.
April 11, 2018 - Young Educators Society (YES) Scholarship. Available to graduating seniors with at 2.75 or higher GPA who are pursuing a teaching degree at EMU, MSU, UM, SVSU, WSU, or GVSU. See Mrs. O'Connor for application.
April 20, 2019 - Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Vision Fair Foundation Annual Scholarship. Applicants must be a June 2018 graduate from a Wayne County school, have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, and include a list of extracurricular/community service and a personal essay. April 22, 2018 - Student Insights 2018 Student-View Scholarship Program. No minimum GPA or test score required to be eligible for one of 13 scholarships ranging between $500 and $4000. Log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute survey about colleges in your area. Winners will be randomly selected from all completed applications.
**April 27, 2019 - Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #2148 Scholarship. Student athlete qualifications are a GPA of 2.5 or higher and at least 2 years on the Varsity level of their respective sport. See your coach for nomination.

**May 1, 2018 - Bernard "Bert" Toschi Memorial Scholarship. Applicants must be a June 2018 graduating senior who attended AHS for a minimum of 2 full years and was enrolled in a CTE program for at least one full year. See Mr. Oxer application.
**May 1, 2018 - SAHS Principals and Supervisors Association 2018 Scholarship. Applicants must be a June graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. **May 1, 2018 - Big Brothers/Big Sisters 2018 Scholarship. Applicants must be a June 2018 graduate, good standing member of Big Brothers/Sisters, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. **May 3, 2018 - The Rotary Club of Southgate Service Above Self Scholarship. Eligible students must be graduating from AHS and be accepted into a 2 or 4 year college or university. A one page essay about how you have contributed service to the community outside of your school is required. See Mr. Oxer for application.
**May 3, 2019 - The Al Anderson Memorial Scholarship. Graduating AHS seniors who have attended Southgate schools for a minimum of 2 years can apply. Students must submit a letter stating why they should be considered and how they demonstrated initiative, determination, and hard work through their high school years. See Mr. Oxer for application.
**May 3, 2019 - The Paul C. Pomponio Public Service Scholarship. Students with a 2.0 or higher GPA who are pursuing a career in the field of criminal justice, fire science, or EMT are eligible to apply. See Mr. Oxer for application.
**May 3, 2019 - Fast Oil and Lube Scholarship. Students with a 2.8 or higher GPA who have attended Southgate schools for at least 2 years may apply. An essay about how their city helped shape your values and character is required. See Mr. Oxer for application.
**May 43 2019 - Southgate Anderson Student Council 2018 Scholarship. Applicants should have a 3.0 or higher GPA, have extracurricular or community service experience, good attendance record, and demonstrate financial need. See Mr. Oxer for application.

May 14, 2018 - Thomas and Margaret Anderson Scholarship. Must be a graduating senior who has attended Southgate schools for a minimum of 5 years, with a B or better GPA, and is majoring in a Science related field. See Mrs. O'Connor for application.
June 15, 2018 - Horatio Alger National Career and Technical Scholarship program. Criteria include high school completion by spring of 2018, commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical certificate/degree, Pell grant eligibility, student under age 30, and US citizen. June 29, 2018 - The Matthew Edwards Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is available to all HS seniors in the Downriver area. Applicants must either be accepted by a recognized Christian College and/or be majoring in criminal justice. See Mrs. O'Connor for application.
August 31, 2018 - NursingSchoolsAlmanac.com has just launched its fourth annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to a future nurse in the high school graduating class of 2018. We will award this scholarship to the applicant who best demonstrates:
+ A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics
+ A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare
This scholarship competition is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on August 31, 2018. Here they'll find detailed scholarship information and the official application form.
**Seniors make sure your SAT score is activated by contacting SSG (888-4-GRANTS or firstname.lastname@example.org) and providing your Social Security number. This is required for your qualifying SAT score to match with FAFSA results; which is the application for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship award. The award will be matched to your first college choice listed on the FAFSA form. This must be done before entering college!
