Reminder to all girls trying out for softball. You must have a blue card in order to tryout. Please do not wait until the last minute. You may turn it in to Coach D as soon as you get it.

Please congratulate DECA winners, Eddie Burbo and Luke Bohr, State finalist in Ethics Team Event and Mike Munoz and Shawn Goodman, National qualifiers in Hospitality Services Team Decision Making. In April, Mike and Shawn will be competing in the final round against DECA students from around the world in Orlando.

Anderson will be hosting a free administration of the ASVAB exam on Thursday, March 7th. Please see Mrs. O'Connor for more information and to reserve a spot!

 

Congratulations to All-State wrestler Alec Balogh as he finished 6th this past weekend at the wrestling state finals. Also, congratulations to Adrian Rosas and Ryan Cacicedo for qualifying for the MHSAA state wrestling finals.

Remember MLA and Titan Time are places where you can get FREE tutoring and support. Both are located in the media center. Math tutors are available!!

 

There will be a mandatory meeting for all girl's wishing to play tennis this spring on Thursday, February 28th right after school in Mr. Furkas' room (24). The meeting will go from 2:45-3:05.

 

Coach Childs will host an informational meeting for Girls Track & Field on Wednesday, February 27th at 3:10 in Rm. 15 (Mr. Vilardi's room).

Congratulations to the girls freshmen, JV, and Varsity teams who all beat Woodhaven on Friday night. Also Good Luck to the boys basketball team who play districts tonight at 5:00.

 

Any student interested in football there will be a meeting this Wednesday after school in gym. This meeting will last about a half hour. If you have questions, please see Coach Dobek.

 

Our Varsity bowlers competed in their regional event this weekend. On Friday the boys team had a strong day and finished 5th out of 15 schools! On Saturday, Sophomore Neal Perok started with a 236 game for a 34th place finish. Senior Shawn Goodman had the first 7 strikes for a 264 game, he totalled 1177 for an 11th place finish (missing the cut by 2 pins). Freshmen Luke Piscitelli threw four 200+ games for a 1202 total which earned him a 7th place finish! Freshman Nolan Pesci started with a 233 game and also rolled four 200 games for a total of 1250. Nolan placed 3rd in our region! Congratulations to both Nolan Pesci and Luke Piscitelli for representing Southgate Anderson this coming Saturday at States! Great job guys!
