There will be a baseball meeting today, after school, for any boys interested in playing baseball this Spring. Meet in the auditorium at 2:45pm.

 

Don't be an Oddball!  Go to the Snowball Dance on Saturday, January 26th at 6:00. Tickets are on sale now after school in room 7 for $15 for a single person or $25 per couple.

 

There will be an Interact Club meeting today after school in the counseling office.

Attention Southgate students!! The Life Skills Program is opening a thrift store! The STA Thrift Store will be open to students and staff at AHS starting Wednesday, December 5th. We will be open Wednesdays and Fridays during both lunches. We are located in Room 28 across from the JROTC room. Cash only. Stop by and take a look. Shop the Titan way at the STA Thrift Store!!

 

Help us take care of our Titan family! Student Council will be running a FUND drive during 2nd hour classes to raise money to support the Angel Tree at Anderson High School. Bring your donation to your 2nd hour teacher between Friday, December 7th and Wednesday, December 12th. Any amount that you can spare is greatly appreciated. The 2nd hour class that raises the most money will earn donuts Student Council on Friday, December 14th.  

 

Congratulations go out to the Boys Varsity swim team tonight for breaking the school record for the 400 relay with a time of 4:16 seconds. Way to go, Josh Harbowy and Ethan Coombs!!!

 

Freshman...there are some extra class congress shirts available.  They are $10 each. If you would like one, see Mrs. Furkas in room 25.

Looking to get more involved in school and the community? Join the Interact club! Our first meeting will be today after school in the counseling office. We will have pizza and drinks. All grades welcome.

 

You've read it in class, now come see it live on stage-- The Crucible as presented by the Southgate Anderson Drama Club, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and staff, and $7 for the public; hope to see you there!

Attention freshmen: You have until friday to order a class shirt. See Mrs. Furkas with your $10 and shirt size! A picture of the shirt is hanging up outside her room.

 

Big Sisters: Don't forget that your pretzel money is due this Friday to Mrs. McKenna in room 44. You can bring it in any time when you have it all collected.  Also, our next event will take place on November 19th in the Multi purpose room. We will see you there!

 

Attention seniors who haven't had their senior portrait taken yet:  Mary Rosecrans will be here at the school for one last time on Wednesday, November 21st in the auditorium to take your picture for the yearbook for a $30 fee. This is your last chance to be in the senior section. Also, no picture - no senior quote.

There will be an informational meeting for students interested in joining the Southgate Winter Guard program on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00pm in the Anderson band room. All are welcome, and no experience is necessary. For more information, see Mr. Walter or Mr. Novicki in the band room.  

 

Sophomores and their parents are invited to learn more about our new Early Middle College Program with Wayne County Community College this Wednesday, November 14th at 6:30pm in the media center. Families will learn about students earning college credits and high school credits beginning in the second semester.

 

Attention freshman:  Class shirts can be ordered until this Wednesday.  Please stop by Mrs. Furkas or Ms. Misovich’s room by the end of the day on Wednesday with your shirt size and $10.
